IRAN: Two women convert to christianity – now they face death.

Mariam (27) and Marzieh smile. It is the last picture of the Iranian women taken in freedom.  Now the two women are in the worst prison of Teheran.  Their crime: They converted from Islam to Christianity.

Human rights activist and author Sabatina James fights for the freedom of these two Christians. She reports, “the women are in solitary confinement. They are questioned with blindfolded eyes. Five times a day they are flogged. Water and food is reduced to a minimum.” INCREDIBLE!  These tortures are in Iranian law for women!

On August 9th they had their first day in court. The prosecutor demanded that the two women deny their Christian faith in writing and in spoken words. It was very moving how determined both women were. They proclaimed that they don’t regret anything and they will not turn away from their faith in Jesus Christ.
This is a propaganda trial and if they are convicted, they face the death penalty under Iranian Law.
