My Name is Amy and I would like to encourage moms to evangelize. I want to share an example of how God can use the little time we have.
It was a Wednesday and I had my 7 month old son, a six month old baby and my 3 year old niece to take care of. I wanted to pass out invitations to a march we were having as a church which was going to be held in honor of the 9/11 victims, to raise awareness of the evil of the Islamic religion and most importantly to proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord and the only way to salvation.
I was going to walk around, handing out flyers and sharing the gospel. After only a very short time my 3 year old niece was tired and her feet hurt.
So I camped out at the car and talked to those nearby. I got to speak to one young woman and found out she had never heard the gospel before. I was amazed, since most people you meet in America claim to be Christians or know about Christianity. She had to go to work, so I only had little time, but in a short version I told her about Gods love for us, about Jesus who died for our sins and about the relationship God wants to have with us. She was totally open and listening carefully and I got to pray for her and invite her to church. One of the babies was crying and she had to go to work, but at least I could share Gods word and love and I am sure God will use this to lead her to him.
So no matter how busy and limited you are, God can use you to reach someone!
On another occasion I was at the park with my 7 month old son and my pastors 6 month old baby. We were having fun swinging at the baby swings when I started talking to a mom who had three children. I found out she was a catholic but only went to that church because she was raised that way. Upon asking I found out she actually never really experienced God but she believed he existed and believed in the Bible. Her kids were fascinated by the babies, so in a very natural way we could spend time together and I could share how I have experienced God and know he is real, while watching the kids play.
She listened carefully and allowed me to pray for her in the middle of the playground that God would reveal himself to her in a real way. She was very thankful and touched and we and the kids had a great time!
